If anything is unclear, email us at info@aopublic.com.
What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to information collected through our website at aopublic.com, our newsletter signup forms, our contact forms, and any email communications we send. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to — those have their own privacy policies.

Information collected automatically:
- Analytics data — pages visited, time on site, referring website, browser type, device type, general geographic location (city/region level, not precise location). Collected through Google Analytics.
- Cookies — small text files stored on your device to help us understand how visitors use the site. See "Cookies and Tracking" below for details.
We do not collect payment information, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal data.
How We Use Your Information
- To send you our newsletter if you subscribe
- To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form
- To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it
- To measure the effectiveness of our content and campaigns
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data. Google Analytics sets the following cookies:
- _ga — distinguishes unique visitors (expires after 2 years)
- _ga_[ID] — maintains session state (expires after 2 years)
These cookies collect information such as how often you visit, which pages you view, and what other sites you visited before ours. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify you personally from it.
How to opt out:
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On
- Adjust your browser settings to block cookies
- Use a browser with built-in tracking protection
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking pixels.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share your information with the following service providers, only to the extent necessary for them to perform services on our behalf:
Google Analytics (website analytics)
Google processes anonymous usage data to help us understand website traffic. Google's servers are located in the United States. Google's Privacy Policy
MailerLite (email newsletter delivery)
MailerLite processes your name and email address to deliver our newsletter. MailerLite stores data in European Union data centers (Germany and the Netherlands). MailerLite's Privacy Policy
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
How Long We Keep Your Information
- Newsletter subscriber data — retained until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, your email is removed from our active mailing list. MailerLite may retain a suppression record to honor your unsubscribe request.
- Contact form submissions — retained for up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Analytics data — retained per Google Analytics default settings (up to 14 months), then automatically deleted.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information from our records
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email
- Opt out of analytics tracking (see "Cookies and Tracking" above)

* Data Breach — In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of analytics tracking.

Every email includes:
- A clear unsubscribe link

If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you emails within 10 business days. We will never add you to our mailing list without your consent.
Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) across our website
- Access controls limiting who within our organization can view personal data
- Secure, reputable third-party service providers with their own security measures
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately at info@aopublic.com and we will delete it.
International Visitors
Our website is operated from the United States. If you are visiting from outside the US, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (for newsletter subscriptions) and our legitimate interest in understanding website usage (for analytics).
