Founded in San Francisco in 2009 by Lainya Magaña, A&O PR has locations in New York City and Portland, OR, servicing clients around the world. LAINYA MAGAÑA
FOUNDER

Lainya Magaña is the Founder and Principal of A&O PR and heads creative campaign development, strategic communications, crisis management and marketing across A&O’s global roster of arts and culture clients. Lainya works with partners in business, fine art, music, hospitality, and architecture, leveraging innovation and storytelling to create narratives that resonate with audiences and drive media coverage. With a degree in Communications and previous experience as a Gallery Director and writer, Lainya brings a breadth of business and media expertise to her clients and is a trusted advisor to CEOs, Directors, and entrepreneurs around the world.

Rebecca Allen
Junior account manager

Rebecca Allen is a Junior Account Manager for A&O. She holds two bachelor’s degrees from Cornell University, a BA in the History of Art, and a BFA from the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. She has worked as a Curatorial Intern in American Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and as a Curatorial Intern for Academic Programs at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum at Cornell. Rebecca has also worked as an archivist and educator at the Milton Hershey School, a private, residential, tuition-free PreK-12 school for children in need, founded in 1909. She has domestic and international experience in the fashion industry, assisting with
collaborations between designers and artists/artists’ estates. Beyond her role at A&O, Rebecca enjoys reading, alternative process photography, dancing, learning languages, and supporting her family’s small, media preservation business.

Tamara

Tamara Martínez
Junior account manager

Tamara Martínez is a Junior Account Manager for A&O. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Media, Culture, and Communications with a minor in Art History from New York University. Prior to joining A&O, she has worked as a VIP Assistant at The Armory Show, as well as a Gallery Assistant at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de La Boca in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her previous experience includes internships at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and New Latin Wave. Outside of work she enjoys making textile art, propagating plants, and drinking lavender oat milk lattes.
