LA Art Show: Bates Wilson
Bates Wilson was one of the only artists to have a solo exhibit inside the LA Art Show. And his metallic sculptures of steam punk fish caught everyone by happy surprise. They are massive, about 10 feet tall, and hang from hooks in the ceiling – so there were only about 3 or 4 of them that were able to fit in the space. However, the fact that he could make such an impact with only 4 pieces, whereas everyone else had 20+ is something to be noted!
