Micaela Gallery and Projects has an elegant display of fine art at its booth in the Affordable Art Fair. Their exhibit is split between a variety of mediums and pieces – including one by Susan Longini made out of pigmented crystals. And when the gallery’s owner pointed out that the crystals actually formed a landscape, it became even cooler, since a whole other element was revealed about the work. The gallery also had works on paper by Peter foucault, who used a mixture of collage and ink to create really beautiful, yet chaotic, paintings. However, my favorite piece in the exhibit is a sculpture by Kathleen Elliot of a frosted white branch. It’s definitely just one of those pieces you put into a room that makes everything feel like it’s worth a million dollars.
