Installation – SKEE.TV building on Cahuenga

This street-art installation on Cahuenga in Hollywood was created by Aaron Axelrod as a commission by Dj Skee. The title of the work is “Greatness Doesn’t Ask Permission” and it was painted onto the front of the KIIS-FM Dj’s building where he films all of his popular webisodes. The work features a bunch of mannequin hoodlums who are splashing a rainbow of dripping graffiti onto the building, which is kind of neat because most of Axelrod’s other art falls into the fine-art category and has nothing to do with vandalism. There were green lasers in the entrance-way when the work was unveiled in August, but they have since been removed.
