ART PLATFORM Los Angeles – Michael Rosenfeld Gallery
The Michael Rosenfeld Gallery, based out of New York, had an exhibit featuring recent work by Los Angeles native Betye Saar, who is now 85 years old. She continues to explore similar elements of her past work based upon her African, Creole, and Irish ancestry. She uses found objects to create her sculptures which are full of political meaning and has been the recipient of 5 honorary doctorate degrees from prestigious universities. For a woman of her age to be making such well executed works of art with hefty meaning is a true testament to the passion of her heart.
